Proof that God's Diet Plan Works!

Joy Kauffman, MPH

The original diet that was introduced in the Garden of Eden is gaining popularity in today's society! Many sources show a link between high consumption of plant-based foods and lower risk of diseases such as heart disease and cancer. This type of diet is best for heart and brain health. For example, an article from the BBC states the importance of eating colorful, whole foods. These type of foods are rich in phytonutrients, which include disease-fighting properties.

This is the same diet FARM STEW has been teaching since our beginning as shown in the FARM STEW Food Guide below:

As the Bible says: "The Lord God made all kinds of trees grow out of the ground—trees that were pleasing to the eye and good for food." Genesis 2:9a.

What could be more pleasing to the eye than a rainbow?

The BBC article goes on to reference the following: 'One study found that prompting people to eat a colorful meal increased their consumption of healthy food.' The rainbow diet is not just picture perfect; it provides many nutrients that help the body thrive!

In addition to eating more fruits and vegetables, there are some other things we can change in our diet to promote better health. These include eating beans and avoiding meat in our diets. An article from Reuters reports the following: 'Plant-based diets were tied to a 73% lower risk of severe disease, researchers found in a survey of 2,884 healthcare providers who cared for COVID-19 patients.'

Together with your support, FARM STEW has trained 200,000+ participants in 7,500+ hands-on classes in 5 countries with a local staff of 50 dedicated people! Participants learn the skills to address the root causes of hunger, disease, and poverty!

In Genesis 1:29, God says, “See, I have given you every herb that yields seed which is on the face of all the earth, and every tree whose fruit yields seed; to you it shall be for food."  God's way is truly the best way, and He's provided the guidelines for His people to be in good health.
