Let Freedom Ring!

As our nation celebrates the 4th of July this weekend, FARM STEW is also celebrating freedom. As of July 2022, fifty-five communities in Uganda and South Sudan have received the gift of safe, accessible water! Water is an integral part of our ministry and a key ingredient in the recipe for a life of freedom and abundance.
Over the past three years, these wells have had a huge impact on individuals, families, and communities. The reports we are receiving are exciting. As a result of the wells dug in the Iganga District, water accessibility in their area has increased from 28.7% to 42.6%. Local officials credit FARM STEW with 90% of that change. Although almost double the people have water there now, it's clear there are still so many people that need water!
FARM STEW has partnered with Water4, WHOlives, the Swiss Embassy, the Pentecostal Church Development and Relief Agency (PCDRA), and our faithful donors, and through these partnerships, lives are being transformed through the digging and repair of these wells.
In South Sudan, the PCDRA and the Swiss Embassy have reported great success with the wells drilled in their area, with almost all operating well and giving good yields. Praise God!
These wells are essential to bringing these individuals and families freedom from disease and drudgery, one of the five FARM STEW Freedom Priorities.

What does this freedom look like?
It is the joy of women and children who no longer trek long distances on often dangerous paths to fetch water each day. With close access to water, women can spend more time caring for their families and other necessities, while children can focus on their studies. It is the freedom from harmful and often deadly diseases and illnesses, often transmitted through unsanitary water sources. And most importantly, it can be seen in the ability for growth in flourishing gardens, improved health and well-being, family relationships, and community ties.
Freedom to live a safe, healthy, and abundant life is a precious gift. But sadly, this is a gift that many still do not have access to. Yet, it is our mission to continue to stretch to answer God's call to bring this freedom to as many as possible!
We have much to celebrate. Christ, the ultimate giver of freedom, has blessed our efforts so far, and I know He will not stop now. However, I believe this is also a call to action, to stretch even further, to let the freedom of an abundant life ring, not only here but around the world!
