Meet Betty, Vice Country Director of FARM STEW Uganda!
Meet Betty, Vice President of FARM STEW Uganda. She'll make you laugh!
She's one of 13 kids, whose father died when she was just 8. Her mother had very little money and soon, like so many Ugandans, she became a mother while still a girl. Through suffering, Betty acquired the strength of a true African woman.
Although she had to drop out of school and had three daughters, she committed her life to them. Through the timber business, she managed to finance their education and later returned for her own. After studying journalism, Betty applied her skills in radio broadcasting at Maranatha Radio as a volunteer health and development educator for seven years before I met her last year. Through the power of enterprise and prayer, she gained a property of her own on which she is slowly but steadily building a home and a working farm.
She joined FARM STEW in 2017 and quickly revealed her leadership skills and was asked to serve as the FARM STEW Uganda Vice President. She graciously accepted the role and is leading the Jinja Team, the city that is the source of the Nile River.
I know you will love her. Prayerfully consider how you can help me equip her team with ongoing support.
