Kisasi West is located in Busede Sub-county, Jinja District, it is located remotely as is in the middle of Madhhivani sugarcane plantation, which is one of the largest in Uganda. No farming activity takes place as all community members provide labour to the sugarcane plantation earning a peanut pay , 18USD, 23USD, 34USD per month depending on the experience and due to high demand of casual workers there is high rate of school drop out, for the boys as young as 13 years old are toiling in the plantation and girls as young as 14 years they are married you have kids, meaning kids having kids. The nearest health facility is 5 Kilometers from the village, it is operated by a sugarcane factory hence it gives free services to the community members. 70% of adults are alcoholic this state acts as a catelist for domestic violence and child abuse. Even the little land they had, they gave it out for sugarcane growing, leaving them with nowhere to grow food crops.
