The FARM STEW Senegal project, launched in July 2024, has strengthened communities by improving nutrition, reducing malnutrition, and promoting healthy, sustainable farming practices. Through training in soil health, kitchen garden management, and agriculture for better nutrition, families are growing more food, adopting organic methods, and even producing excess food for sale. FARM STEW is helping households move toward self-sufficiency, better health, and lasting hope. The Senegal team is building on this momentum and looks forward to expanding its impact in the coming years.

FARM STEW Burundi began in early 2025, bringing practical training to 30 communities across the country. Local trainers are equipping families with skills in kitchen gardening, soybean planting, compost making, and other sustainable farming practices. These hands-on lessons address urgent needs like malnutrition, poor sanitation, and food insecurity, helping households improve both health and livelihoods.
God willing, the FARM STEW Chad project will launch in the fall of 2025. Eleven FARM STEW trainers, who attended our first training in Chad in the spring of 2025, will work alongside 42 communities to equip families with practical skills for farming, nutrition, hygiene, and income generation. Through hands-on training and the FARM STEW “recipe,” households will learn sustainable practices that improve health, increase food security, and encourage savings and investment. With a dedicated local team, the program aims to inspire lasting behavioral change that frees families from poverty and dependency, helping them build healthier, more hopeful futures.
