Mikariis

Mikariis is a small village of the Manobo Tribe comprising about 20 houses along a gravel road. It comes under the jurisdiction of Barangay Namnam, San Fernando, Bukidnon. Water for the village is piped in from the stream about a kilometer away it is often destroyed due the the landslides in the area. It is 30 minutes away from Natampod on a rugged gravel road that can be washed out during the monsoon rains. All food supplies must be either grown or an hour ride from the town. Transportation is infrequent, that would also mean medical care is difficult to access and avail. Primary education grades 1- 4 was provided by the Department of Education and the Adventist Mindanao Mission Teacher in a sole open-sided classroom for approximately 50-60 children.
