The FARM STEW Blog

One Mom Said Yes

After learning about FARM STEW’s mission to bring abundant life to the least of these—especially restoring dignity and bringing freedom from shame to girls and women—Georgia knew this was something she and her two young daughters wanted to be part of. Her family had already supported FARM STEW trainers, but she felt called to do more.

‍

When she began teaching the junior Sabbath School class at her church, Georgia saw an opportunity. The class included students ages 10 to 14, and she invited both the children and their parents to join a special project. On a few Sunday afternoons at her home, the group gathered to create wooden signs. The children cut and sanded the boards, traced Bible verses and uplifting quotes in the wood, then returned the following week to paint and stain each one.

‍

When church members heard that the children planned to sell the signs and benefit families around the world, they placed orders for all of them! This gave the children an opportunity to tell people about FARM STEW, and the entire church family was able to contribute. This generous project by people halfway around the world is making a real difference in the lives of the families that FARM STEW serves.
