Amanzora is a community in the Boroli 1 Refugee Settlement, Pakelle Sub-county, Adjumani District, Uganda, primarily inhabited by refugees from South Sudan. Residents rely on small-scale farming, cultivating crops such as maize, beans, and vegetables, and some engage in trade to support their livelihoods. The community participates in savings and loan groups, including the Seed Effect program, which provides access to credit, business support, and strengthens community cohesion. Despite challenges such as limited access to healthcare, education, clean water, economic constraints, and vulnerability to environmental changes, the people of Amanzora show resilience and work collectively to improve their living conditions and sustain their livelihoods.
