Badala Two

Badala 2 is a small rural hamlet in the Kossi Province in Boucle du Mouhoun Region living in symbiosis with Badala 1.The village has been displaced by force due to the terrorism war. They currently live in Dédougou city where living conditions are very precarious. Not being on their land, they have serious problems generating income and consequently lack adequate food. The community primarily depends on small-scale agriculture, cultivating millet, maize, and sorghum on small plots that they have begged from the indigenous population. Living on the outskirts of the city, residents face challenges including limited access to healthcare, lack of local secondary schools, and unreliable electricity, which restrict economic opportunities. Despite these obstacles, the people of Badala 1 are resilient, working to improve agricultural practices and access to education. With targeted support, the community has the potential to enhance livelihoods, expand access to essential services, and build a more sustainable future.
